These are my sushi-themed original characters. From left to right their names are Hikaru, Sayaka and Mikan respectively.
Mikan's name is inspired by her color. Mikan is variety of an orange fruit. Her color is mainly orange. She's inspired by the salmon sushi. ^_^
She’s based on tuna sushi. I forgot who suggested the name but I really like how Sayaka sounds so I rolled with it.
Her name is Hikaru, meaning “to shine”, which describes her perfectly! She’s based on squid sushi, a Firefly Squid in particular. Bioluminescent creatures really fascinatingly beautiful and mesmerizing! She’s almost the firefly squid sushi fairy!
Here's a version of Hikaru without the glow. I just turned off the effect stuff and I kinda liked it. I will definitely try and make it simpler and less detailed.
